HEALITE II – LUTRONIC treatment

Discover the true science of LED phototherapy

Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) with HEALITE II is the therapeutic use of incident light to photomodulate cellular function, improving healing times, relieving pain, diminishing active acne, promoting skin rejuvenation, hair growth and more.

HEALITE II harnesses the properties of 830/590, 633 and 415 nm light through Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, properly delivered and focused, effectively treating without the possibility of physical trauma or thermal damage. LLLT with HEALITE II can be used as a stand-alone therapy or as adjuvant therapy with many other treatments.

HEALITE II is a useful adjuvant for almost any aesthetic treatment such as hair growth, skin rejuvenation, wound healing, pain relief, muscle and joint pain, arthritis, muscle spasm, temporary increase in blood circulation, active acne, etc.

How does LED phototherapy work in the treatment of scalp conditions?

Red 633nm light is used to treat scalp disorders.

It penetrates the scalp skin down to the base of the hair follicle and the photons are absorbed and interact with light-sensitised receptors in the mitochondria. The mitochondria is the energy-producing organelle of the cell, where ATP, the main cellular fuel, is produced.

Thus, as a result of the interaction between red light and the scalp, hair follicle cells will function at optimal capacity, can defend themselves more effectively against oxidative stress and environmental pathogens, and resume their normal growth cycle.

LED phototherapy protocol in the treatment of scalp disorders:

  • 12 sessions – 2-3 times a week

Break – 6 months

  • 10 sessions – 2-3 times a week

Break – 6 months

  • Maintenance – 5 sessions/year.

How does LED phototherapy work in skin rejuvenation treatment?

Both RED and YELLOW light can be used in skin rejuvenation.

LED light is absorbed through the skin to the dermis where it interacts with light-sensitised receptors in the mitochondria. Mitochondria is the energy-producing organelle of the cell, where ATP, the main cellular fuel, is produced.

This reduces cellular oxidative stress, increases local vascularisation, decreases inflammation and stimulates cellular metabolism. Fibroblasts will have a greater fuel reserve and will be stimulated to produce new collagen fibres, strengthening the dermal support network.

LED phototherapy with YELLOW light 830nm is recommended for the reduction of post-procedure dermatocosmetic and aesthetic inflammation.
