Pigmented nevus excision

Surgical excision with safety margins is the preferred procedure of dermatologists for the removal of moles (called “nevus” in medical language), an extremely simple intervention, which does not require hospitalization and lasts 30 – 60 minutes maximum. The removal of the mole is done with local anesthesia with Xylin (the only painful part), which has an immediate effect. The potential pain sensation may be a cause for concern for some people, but fortunately, during the intervention the patient will not feel anything, with anesthesia having a 3 to 4 hours effect.
