Sebaceous cysts are formed by retaining the secretion of the sebaceous glands who’s excretory ducts have been blocked for various reasons. They occur in young people or adults with a tendency to develop a seborrheic syndrome and have a location dependent on the spreading area of the sebaceous glands: the anterior and posterior thorax, the skin of the head, face, limbs. It should be noted that the occurrence of these cysts is random and does not relate to a hereditary transmission of the disease.
Incisions of the cysts and boils are medical procedures performed by doctors specialized in dermatologic surgery.
