Abnormal breast enlargement in males has extremely varied causes and the treatment must address both to the cause (medical treatment) and to the effect (surgery).
Surgical treatment of gynecomastia is applied only after identifying and treating the cause. Depending on the type of gynecomastia, we perform liposuction, surgical excision of the breast or both.
The surgery is done after conducting blood tests and appropriate laboratory explorations. The surgery lasts about 1-2 hours and is done under general anesthesia.
Postoperative recovery is short. Consider wearing a light compression vest for 6 weeks after surgery.
